This module begins by asking participants to consider their strengths and limitations in their role as collection agents.
It then covers why businesses struggle to get their invoices paid and how they can avoid the pitfalls that lead to debtors, why customers don't pay their invoices and the different debtor types they may face in their role as well as an introduction to the CAP model and the role cash plays in the life of a business.
This module covers to identify the most common excuses debtors give for unpaid invoices or fees not being received and the current approach to handling these.
it also covers the classic traits of debtors, their behaviours and communication styles and how to manage these effectively.
Participants learn how to plan and manage a call effectively as well as how to set up successful payment arrangements and negotiate a payment plan.
They also learn how to use active listening skills, effective questioning technique and a structured conversation to make an effective collection call.
The module includes practice sessions so participants can apply their skills. They will also learn how to use changes in their voice tone, pace , volume and pitch to communicate effectively during telephone contact with the customer and when to use scripts to help make their calls more effective.
