Cheryl – MD and Design director

Cheryl Gregory of The Customer's Shoes helping you deliver a great customer experienceI come from a design background with a BA Hons degree in Fashion and Textiles Design. With an eye for detail and a passion for anything creative it’s no wonder that customer experience is so intrinsically important to me.

l believe your business acts like a catwalk for your services or products, and this is why the design skills, expertise and creative flair that my company brings are so important in all the work we do especially in customer service, customer experience and employee engagement.

I’m keen on not only challenging our clients to consider the strategic issues but also the little details that can make such a big difference to customers. Often it can be the smallest of details that can turn a bland and unmemorable experience into a positive and unforgettable one. All our design work, branding, courses and training design is tailor made and inspired in house by our team at The Customer’s Shoes.

And when I am not working? Well, one of my passions is travel and when I am not discovering new areas in the South Of France, I can be found sipping a Caffè ristretto at Caffè Florian in the Piazza San Marco in Venice, Italy’s oldest Café. Here you can be seated in one of the café’s frescoed rooms or outside listening to the orchestra in the Piazza, enjoying impeccable service and products of the finest quality!

How Waitrose turned around an error they made to deliver my daughter’s christening cake. When they failed to include the cake in our large order of party food they had 2 hours in which to get the cake to us, this involved sending a member of staff directly too us – an hour away on a ferry. They gave us a free bottle of champagne to go with it too as an apology.

Saskia – Social Media, PR and Design Assistant

The Customer's Shoes helping you deliver a great customer experience

Hi I’m Saskia (yes my name is Dutch and I was Rembrandt’s wife). I provide the youthful energy that reflects our contemporary service solutions. I balance my expanding career as a singer songwriter (watch this space or find me at www.saskiasays.com) with the demands of my ever growing social media, PR and design role in the business.

I have a passion for everything creative and would describe myself as a “complete media addict” and social media fan. I can always be found with perhaps my most valued of techno possessions my iMac.

I believe that creating exceptional customer experiences is much more important than people think – “It’s about giving people moments of happiness, and frankly what is more important than that?”

“Anything’s possible if you’ve got enough nerve. I was determined to try. I was determined to try because, frankly, my life was such a mess at this point, what – what was the worst that could happen? Everyone turn me down? Big deal.” – J.K Rowling

If you could step into the shoes of any person, dead or alive, for one day who would it be?
It’s a tough one… Maybe Mick Hucknall. I know I’d be a man… and I’d be teased for looking funny… but I’d get to stand out on stage to thousands and sing amazing songs!
What’s the most expensive pair of shoes you’ve ever bought? £50 White studded brogues from TopShop. Quite a bargain.
Most memorable customer experience?
My most recent WOW moment was at a Katherine Jenkins concert when she held a Q&A session. One audience member asked if she could sing ‘I vow to thee my Country’ to honour a recently passed relative, she then proceeded to sing it, beautifully, unpre-pared and with no backing. It was stunning, and complete value for money as an audience member as she was prepared to give her customer’s a little extra.
Quick tip to great customer service?
Be nice and try not to make judgements. Treat each new customer as a wealth of new potential for your business, you don’t know who they are! If you treat them well and show them some care and attention they could be your most loyal customer yet!

James – Story Creator and Media Captain

I have been captivated by great story telling since I was just a nipper. Having been brought up to enjoy watching many genres of film, I have since become fascinated by every aspect of cinema. As an aspiring young screenwriter, I have written, produced and directed my own short film ‘Stand-Up’ and I am currently working on my first feature film script.

Within The Customer’s Shoes, I bring my insatiable sense of humour and my wealth of film and storytelling knowledge to our video, script and content production as well as the development of our future podcasts.

I recently had my own “starring role” in the film Captain America where I played a German soldier! I also provide the dulcet tones of our voicemail message at the office! Try it out of hours on +44(0)1242269076, it get’s rave reviews.
